As soon as I’d finished reading the first book, there wasn’t any time to lose. Immediately, I was into the next book, thrilled by the fast-moving plot and dangerous circumstances. Again, I read the book in record time, wishing to finish the series as fast as possible, though another part of me wanted it to last forever. Warning: This review contains spoilers from the first Hunger Games book.

Katniss and Peeta have survived The Hunger Games. It was the end, but their act of rebellion didn’t go unnoticed by the capital. It’s a year later and the capital has finally delivered their punishment. This hunger games, the contestants will be reaped from the remaining pool of victors. Katniss and Peeta must renew their fake act of romance to survive: they are going back into the arena. This hunger games is one of the most terrifying yet, with increased danger and brimming rebellion. Alliances will be made, loyalties questioned, and plots put into action in this thrilling sequel to The Hunger Games.
This book added greatly to the original novel, something that you don’t always see with a series. I would recommend this book to anyone who loved or even just moderately liked the first book, because you might like the series better afterwards.
Happy Reading!
