Monthly Wrap-Ups

May Wrap-Up 2019

Hello readers! It’s time for our halfway-through-the-year DU DU DU DU DU DU MONTHLY WRAP-UP! I read a diverse array of books this month, but first a little haul.

MONTHLY BOOK HAUL

  1. Death on the Nile by Agatha Christie: I’ve really enjoyed reading books by Agatha Christie lately. Not only are they masterfully written mysteries, but they are also a look into another decade.
  2. This Monstrous Thing by Mackenzie Lee: I absolutely loved the duology of A Gentleman’s Guide To Vice And Virtue and so I’m really excited to see some more of this author’s work, especially in a darker and more mysterious novel.

BOOKS I READ IN MAY

  • Two Can Keep a Secret by Karen M. McManus (you can see my new review for it in a few days!)
  • The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie
  • Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King by J.R.R. Tolkien (yay I finally finished it!)
  • Let the Sky Fall by Shannon Messenger (Review coming soon!)
  • This Monstrous Thing¬†by Mackenzie Lee (You’ll hear more soon!)

BOOKS READ SO FAR IN 2019

The tally of books read for 2019 is now…… twenty-eight! Several of the books I read this month were pretty fast reads!

SONG OF THE MONTH

This month I highly highly recommend the song (and corresponding album) “Glitter” by Todrick Hall. Not only is this such a fun and catchy tune, but Todrick is so unbelievably talented!

QUOTE OF THE MONTH

“Infinite possibilities. And none of them matter.¬†What matters is here and now.” – Shannon Messenger

Happy reading and welcome to summer!
