Monthly Wrap-Ups

September Wrap-Up 2019

Welcome to the September wrap-up! I hope your starting month of school (if you are in school) was fantastic. I just started college, which is a really exciting, but also a really big transition. College has taken up a lot of my time lately, which is why there hasn’t been a new reveiw for several weeks. Not to worry, though, because I am finally getting into some sort of rhythm. In the meantime, here is my September.

BOOK HAUL

  1.  Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare: I preordered this book this month and I’m so excited for this author’s new series (also it has an extra short story… It doesn’t take much).
  2.  Supernova by Marissa Meyer: I have been following this author and this trilogy for a while now and I preordered this conclusion to the Renegades trilogy with intense anticipation.
  3. Let the Wind Rise (Sky Fall Book 3) by [Messenger, Shannon] Let the Wind Rise by Shannon Messenger: I just started reading this book and I’ll be super glad to have finished reading all the books this amazing author has put out into the world.

BOOKS I READ IN SEPTEMBER

  • I finished rereading the fourth Harry Potter book
  • Let the Storm Break by Shannon Messenger
  • They Called Us Enemy by George Takei
  • Shadowhunter Academy by Cassandra Clare (and others)

BOOKS READ SO FAR IN 2019

OOoooohh how many books have I read so far? The answer is now 55!!

SONG OF THE MONTH

This month I recommend “Happy/Sad” from The Addams Family. Not only is this whole musical so well done, but this song in particular is literally a mixture of happy and sad that makes me feel… you guessed it… happy and sad.

QUOTE OF THE MONTH

“Diving through the stars toward the earth far below
Rushing through the places no one else dares to go
Don’t sink into the violent sea
No never
Never
Find the path that sets you free Forever
And ever”

— Shannon Messenger

Happy reading!
