When I first heard about this book, I was slightly unsure about whether or not I would like it, but I'm a fairly easy to please reader (at least I think so) and I decided to take a chance. As soon as I got it in the mail I started reading it and the general verdict is that it wasn't everything I was expecting, but I very much enjoyed the adventure it took me on...

Review: The Gilded Wolves
I borrowed this book from the library several months ago now--during my summer holidays--and I read it promptly, but I haven't been very proactive in writing the review for it. Luckily, I take notes after finishing a book so that everything I want to write about it is fresh down on the page for me to revisit. Before I get into a new review, I figure I might as well catch myself up and write the ones I've been putting off. So, here I am drinking peppermint tea and freaking out about this intricately gorgeous cover that holds an even more intricate and gorgeous story...
Dragon Pearl
I have been a huge fan of Rick Riordan's work for a long time now (like five years!) and I also have an interest in Korean culture...
Let the Sky Fall
I haven't talked much about Shannon Messenger, one of my favorite authors EVER, on my blog because I never have anything critical to say about her work...
Caraval (Caraval Series #1)
The cover of this book is amazing. Can we just take a moment to appreciate it? It looks kind of simple, but seeing it up close is actually amazing. The star behind the title sparkles! I’m not here to rant, but it really is cool...
Fablehaven
I was recommended this book by my friend when I was quite young (maybe I was in second or third grade). My mum started to read the first book to me. However, by the time we got about halfway through, we were done. I was scared by some of the frightening situations and creatures the characters had to deal with and Mum was afraid of me having nightmares. So we got rid of the book. Many years later, I saw the book at the bookstore and I thought maybe I should try it again. I wasn’t disappointed...
Library of Souls
I was super excited to read this, the third and final book in the series. After reading the second book, which was thrilling, I was looking forward to finishing the series and finding out what happened to the characters I had come to love...

Hollow City
I took quite a long break between reading the first book, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and reading this sequel. The first book was good, but I wouldn’t have considered it to be one of my favorites. This was the reason that I didn’t end up continuing to read the series. However, after much egging on from my friend, I asked her to loan it to me and I started to read...
Doctor Strange
I’ve never been very informed about the doings of Marvel and DC, besides seeing the Spiderman movies. So, when my friend, Cheshire, suggested we watch it at her house over the weekend, I was a little unsure. It sounded like a violent-mutant-slime-doctor movie which didn’t sound very interesting to me. Then, she informed me that Doctor Strange was played by Benedict Cumberbatch, and I said something to the effect of “OMG really? Oh well, let’s watch it then!” To which she replied with something like “I thought that would convince you.” She knows me too well...
