Book Review: “Dangerous Alliance”

As promised, today I am reviewing Dangerous Alliance! I interviewed the author of this novel this past Monday, so you can check that out at this link first if you'd like. Or you could just stay here and read my thoughts on the book, which was my first read of the year!! The suspense had really built up before I read it, as it often seems to with debut books for me, and I'm so glad it didn't disappoint! I think I've gotten better at picking books to read that I will like over the years :P. Anyway, onto the actual review!...

Hairspray

I heard about it everywhere and I always wanted to see it. I watched the trailer over and over; I heard people mentioning it years after it came out. A while later, my friend said she was reading a book called Everything, Everything. Deja vu! Once she finished, she let me borrow it, before I finished it the next morning...

Still Star-Crossed (and Something Rotten)

This post is a Shakespeare themed post. Mainly I am reviewing Still Star-Crossed, which is based on Romeo and Juliet. It wasn’t written by Shakespeare and has nothing to do with the man himself except the fact that it continues his story in Verona. It features Romeo’s first love, Rosaline, and other characters from the original play. However, this post isn’t just that… You’ll see!...

The Lunar Chronicles

For a change, I am going to be reviewing a series in its entirety in just one blog post. I can remember seeing the covers for this series of books and always wondering about what secrets were hidden beneath them. A Glass shoe, a red cape… what did these things represent? After some time, I read the synopsis and realized that they were one of my favorite types of stories: fairy-tale re-tellings...
