Welcome back to my next monthly wrap-up! It's a few days late again since I took this past week of blogging off (it was very good for my mental health-Take care of yourselves!). This should be an interesting one, since I didn't totally adhere to my TBR (To Be Read) list for the month, but I ended up reading more than I thought I would. I also, as usual, have lots of things to share in the book haul, which I will group into sections again for easier readability!...

Wednesdays Wondrous Writings: “Gone, gone”

Today's WWW post is inspired by the fact that one of my family members is currently traveling abroad. Traveling is super fun, but it's always a little sad for anyone left behind and so today I decided to write an American Cinquain that was inspired by the feeling of missing someone. Sometimes I get sucked into the words and lose the original direction of what I am writing, which happened with this poem, but I still like how it turned out...

It's taken me a while to really come to terms with the fact that writing is messy and that this is OK. Many writers and people who I've gotten advice from have talked about how writing is messy. Whether it is for a blog, for a school assignment, or for your novel, first drafts are totally crazy and are just a mish mash of ideas thrown onto a page in no particular order...
